Pima Community College has issued a Request for Qualifications No. P24/10074l for the development and lease of property along Drachman Street, part of Tucson’s Historic Miracle Mile Strip. This area was formerly used by motels to serve travelers along the northern edge of the city.
The city of Tucson, AZ has grown, and Pima Community College wishes to develop these nearly 4 acres in a manner that honors the history and serves current and future needs of the college and community.
The RFQ is the first phase of a three-phase solicitation process to prequalify a limited number of respondent developers based on financial capacity, relevant experience, and developer capacity. The second phase will be a request for proposals (RFP) process, in which the shortlisted development teams will submit business plan proposals for developing the property with a mix of uses that serve the college, the growing downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods. The finalist and the College will partner to negotiate a long-term ground lease and development site-plan.
